MMUK Elections 2020
Dec 2019 marked the end of 2 year MMUK committee term. In line with the process to form a new committee for the following term nominations were requested for the new term. Further to this we received nominations from members who are enthusiastic to work and contribute for the upcoming term. As per the procedures and process of MMUK constitution the existing committee was dissolved and an independent election panel was set up. This year Mr. Rahul Naodhar, Mr. Ghanshyam Zavar and Mrs. Rachna Jain presided as the MMUK 2020 election panel. This panel examined the nominations received and obtained final confirmations of the nominations. In total we had 8 nominations for 9 posts which did not necessitate a full election. 8 directors were appointed and Mr Ramnaresh Sonee was elected as the president unanimously by all 8 directors. Subsequently all the posts were elected and the new committee was formed as below:-

Role Name
President Ramnaresh Sonee
Secretary Madhusudan Kabra
Treasurer Deepak Kabra
Jnt. Secretary Ashish Somani
Event Co-ordinator Dinesh Sodani
External PR, Youth Sanjana Karnani
Internal PR Lokesh Chechani
IT Co-ordinator Pankaj Bang

Following the election the team also had its first Board Meeting which was followed by MMUK AGM. At AGM Deepak Kabra presented MMUK financials to all. MMUK member’s opinion and wishes on future events and what they want to see coming from this committee were also discussed. President Ramnaresh Sonee concluded the AGM offering gratitude to directors for his re- election and a heartfelt thanks to departing members Mr. Arvind Maheshwari, Mrs. Pramila Bajaj and Mr. Amit Jawandhiya.

Key upcoming MMUK events for 2020

1. Some time for our health: CPR Training Camp

Some recent events in and around MMUK family triggered our thoughts on how can we better equip our families for emergency situations, hence we thought of full cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training for MMUK members.
CPR is a life-saving technique that helps maintain blood flow to the brain and heart in an emergency situation. Along with this we will also have Choking and Recovery Position Training
in this same one hour session. However, it will be open to other communities too, based on first come first serve.
A Certified Trainer will train you with CPR life saving skills. Post training certificates will be issued to all individuals.
Nothing is more important than one’s life – “Jaan Hai to Jahan Hai” so we request everyone to attend this certified training.
Please register your attendance for £5 per adult to cover the basic cost.
This event is open to other communities too and we would encourage all MMUK members to attend and also requests to encourage all near and dear friends of individual.
