President’s Note

Jai Mahesh Jai Shri Krishna,
I would like to wish all MMUK family a very Happy Holi and Gangaur.

Every cloud has a silver lining.
Last year ended in a very turbulent way for the MMUK family. The loss of members from Laturia family did shake the entire community. I would like to thank each and every member of the community who were on standby to support. It made us realise the power of community and also support which each one of us needs especially living miles away from the family back home. The loss is irrecoverable but the support is forever.

This year the working committee comes with fresh enthusiasm and the various roles taken by team members are:

Role Name
President Mr. Ramnaresh Sonee
Secretary Ms. Sanjana Karnani
Joint Secretary Mr. Ashish Somani
Treasurer Mr. Deepak Kabra
External PR, Youth & IT Co-ordinator Mr. Arvind Maheshwari

General Update:
Team MMUK organised its very first creative lounge on Sunday 17th Mar 2019 as part of MMUK Youth programme. It provided a 30 mins free lesson on “how to create a poster or a leaflet or an invitation from scratch using www.canva.com”.

These skills can be useful to promote school/college projects or campaigns or creating marketing material for your business ideas.

Mr Arvind Maheshwari organised an online zoom meeting which was attended by 15 young members of the community. MMUK is excited to start this initiative and are looking forward to more participation from the community in the near future.

She Is Gone
A poem by David Harkins shared by Noble and Shreerupa Laturia in the loving memory of their mothers & the sister:

You can shed tears that she is gone

Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her

Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone

Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

It is world book day,

Only a day before

I visit the marketplace

Hearing the chitter chatter through my ears

It is world book day,

Only a day before

I visit the market place

Hearing the footsteps through my ears

It is world book day,

Only a day before

I visit the marketplace

Hearing the crunching through my ears

It is world book day,

Only a day before

I visit the marketplace

Hearing the scruffing through my ears

It is world book day

Only a day before

I visit the marketplace

Hearing the triangles and bells through my ears

It is world book day

Only a day before

I visit the marketplace

Hearing the people trying to persuade through my ears

FRIENDSHIP

When your life is in tatters

It’s the friendship that matters

When sad moments give me a blow

And when I am feeling low

And I have nowhere to go

Then I come to you

You make my face glow

All the moments that we share

The friendship comes at no fare

Yet it’s the most priceless layer

Two vital ingredients, Trust and Care

Friends like you are truly Rare

You have dried my tears

Because of you, I have no fears

I’ve have always shared,

and candidly declared

From the start to the end

you are my Best Friend!
